Bike!

We went to get our snow tires taken off of both our cars Sunday, and we were told it was going to be about an hour wait for just one car. We ran around for about 50 minutes and came back to see when the other car could get done. We were about to put the car seats into the Honda when Chris's dad walks through the door to the waiting area. We ended up going to his trailer behind the car wash next door, and the boys had a blast! They both wanted up on Papa's motorcycle (Jaden's words), so we put them up there. They didn't get down for well over 30 minutes, I'd say.

Carson saw a "hat" on the ground and wanted it on.

Jaden then wanted "his" helmet on, because Carson had one on.

After quite awhile Carson got down to run around. He was having a ball climbing on the big landscaping rocks, and hell, just getting to roam free and run around. It sure did tucker the boys out. We got home, had a little late of a lunch (later than the boys are used to, anyway), and put the boys down for a nap. Carson took over a 3 hour nap! I need to take them outside and wear them out more often, lol.

Comfy much?

Ever since Kamryn's nursery has been mostly painted, and the toys mostly gone out of there, the boys just love being in there now. I had given them an early snack, and this is how and where I found them. They were just chillin' on Jaden's little couch, with their feet up on the dresser, eating their Gogurts.

Kamryn's nursery stripes

Kamryn's stripes are finished! I know it looks a little Victoria's Secret-ish, but we love it. This is the wall the crib will be on.

Window wall

Closet and dresser wall (we will be painting the door to the hallway white)

And here's the dresser, which we absolutely LOVE!!! Can't wait for a non-damaged crib to get here, so we can put it together!

I believe all that's left to paint now is the chair rail and the ceiling. We don't even know that the ceiling has even ever been painted before. We think it was just plastered, so a nice new coat, or two, of white paint should make it look TONS better.

Another napping Carson

I went to check in on Carson, to make sure he had covers on, and this is how I found him. He usually never tries to get out of his room (I lock it from the outside), but this day he did. I ignored it, like always (even though always is rare). Well, when I opened the door when I went to check on him, I instantly smelled dirty diaper. I instantly felt horrible for not seeing why he was trying to get out of his room (and crying a little). If you look, you can even see he got out a diaper. I was heart broken. I felt so bad! This was only about 20 minutes into his nap, so there was no way I was letting him go the rest of his nap with a dirty diaper. I changed it, and he was only, at most, half awake by the end, but it took him forever to get back to sleep (I put him back on his bed with the covers on him).

Rough housing kiddos

Before bed, Jaden and Carson were wound up. They always get wound up right after baths. This time they were all about chasing each other and rough housing like little boys do. They were having so much fun, and it really wore them out (which was a good thing, considering it was bedtime). Carson was actually being a faker in this video. He was only screaming so he could get up, run, and do it all over again (or maybe get on Jaden). I should've taken the video minutes before I did, because then you would see Carson was all about tackling Jaden as well.

Fun at the playground

It was one of the first nice days, so I decided to take the boys to one of the nearby playgrounds. By the time we got there it was a bit colder, because it was after 4pm, but the boys couldn't have cared less. They were all about playing and getting out of the house. They had so much fun!

This was when I said it was time to go. I should've taken the picture seconds before, because then you would've seen the fit Carson was throwing. Neither boy want to go home, but their poor little hands were frozen, and their little noses were running. This is Carson watching Jaden run back to the playground, because some other little boys had just arrived.

Cupid's Cups

A friend of mine showed me this website, and I just had to make them! I tried to melt chocolate chips, but the first time I tried I caught them on fire in the microwave. The second time I tried to melt the chocolate chips I tried on the stove. I guess I overheated them. So, I decided to fore go the chocolate hearts on the inside of the cups. I can't, honestly, say I made these, though. I had Chris do the bottom part while I made breakfast on Sunday, then I had Chris do the top part before we went to run errands so they would be ready after the boys' naps. I suppose I can take credit on putting the M&M's on top, lol. I guess you shouldn't wait until Valentine's Day to get Valentine's candy. A lesson learned for next year! These are absolutely delicious, too!

Jaden can read!...kind of :)

I meant to post this the other day, but the last part of the week has been very busy! I was in the boys' room putting sheets back on their beds, and I hear Jaden reading a book. I finished what I was doing (I was almost done), and came out to the living room to take a video. What a smart little boy!

Body parts

Carson knows quite a few of his body parts, and I got it on video yesterday. I should've taken the video a few minutes earlier when I was asking him to show me where they were, because he did and said every single one of them (of the ones I asked) perfectly on the first try. I think he was just sick of doing it by the time I got the camera out, lol.

Painting!

We let the boys paint for the first time yesterday (other than pumpkins). They had a blast! They both threw quite the tantrum when we said it was time to get washed up.

If you point your finger at Carson he'll point his finger at you and walk (or run) to you to make fingers touch.
