I just love the way Jaden sleeps. He sleeps in all sorts of positions. This is the most recent picture I took of him sleeping. he loves Mr. Bear, his lion, and his blankey.
It was so cute. The other night, after Jaden's bath, he just climbed right on up into Daddy's lap to watch TV with Daddy. This was the best picture I got.

Jaden is becoming "Where's Waldo?"
The past couple days Jaden has been running off and doing his own thing. I think that's great! Problem is, when I call for him, and he doesn't answer, and I go looking for him, it takes me awhile to find him. About 10 minutes after I put him down for his nap I heard him open his door. He never came out into the living room, so I figured he went back to bed. About 10 minutes later I hear this horrible sound that sounds like our cat is puking. I look up, and Mimi (our cat) is right in front of me, just chilling in front of the slider. I quickly figure out it's Jaden. I go into the nursery (where he's been hanging out lately), and he had crawled under the crib and got the tub of sidewalk chalk. It was the chalk hitting the sides of the tub, and themselves, that made that horrible noise. I took them away from Jaden, put them in the crib, and put Jaden back down for his nap.
Later that same day (yesterday), sometime after his nap, Jaden was nowhere to be found yet again. I looked in every single room in the house, and I couldn't find him. I looked one more time in the nursery, and this is where I found him. He was in the baby's car seat...again, lol.

And here are a couple pictures from a few days ago. I was putting the new toys on the handle, and putting the head rest in the car seat as well. Jaden just really wanted to play in the baby's car seat, I guess.

Baby Shower
I know it's been almost 2 weeks since I had my baby shower, but I'm lazy, okay! Not many people showed up, but all in all it turned out great. We had some fruit, vegies, and punch, played some games, opened presents, and had a scrumptious ice cream cake. After all was done some of us stayed and swam in the pool. The pool was nice and relaxing.
This is me at 35w1d
This was the pile of gifts
Mmm, the cake!
Jaden is rolling around in the tissue paper. He did this for quite some time.

Where's Jaden?
One day last week I got to go to the bathroom in peace. That never happens. I wondered where Jaden was, because I never get to do anything in peace, lol. I looked in my room, his room, the nursery, the living room, and nothing. I looked in the kitchen, and I almost missed him! He was sitting in the middle of the bench seat where the kitchen table is. It was still scooted out a bit from when Nicole, Will and Ryan were here, so Jaden could finally maneuver his way back to the back. He seemed pretty proud of himself, too.

4th of July
We went to my Uncle Gary's house for a bbq. My sister, Nicole, her husband, Will, and their daughter (my niece), Ryan stayed at our house for the weekend, and Jaden was super excited. Jaden hadn't taken a nap since Wednesday, July 2. He finally fell asleep on the car ride to Gary's house. He kind of woke up when Chris took him out of the car, but he did end up falling back asleep for a little bit. I took the opportunity to take this cute picture.
After Jaden woke up he saw all the kids playing in the water. After some mooching of chips off of whoever would let him mooch we put his swimming suit on so he could play in the water. Here is Aunt Shelby showing Jaden how to fill up and shoot the water gun.
After playing with the water guns for a little bit the home made ice cream was brought out. I asked Jaden if he wanted to go get some ice cream, and he no longer cared about the water. I followed him back to where the ice cream was, got some, and we shared it. YUM!
After ice cream it was time to play with the water guns again.
I was tired and wanted to sit down, so I brought Jaden back over to where the food was. He saw people with home made root beer and wanted some. He went over to where the root beer was, and Gary helped him fill up a cup.
Jaden was so proud of himself for "helping" get himself some root beer. We let him have one drink, then Daddy drank the rest.
Later that night we were going to go to the park to watch the fireworks. We were all so tired that we decided to just pick up a small thing of fireworks to set off at home.
Jaden absolutely loved his sparkler!
We should've done more sparklers first, because it all went down hill from there. Jaden liked the light of the fireworks, but as soon as they started making noise he freaked out! Uncle Willie and Aunt Shelby tried to make Jaden stop crying, but it just wasn't working.
We tried backing Jaden way up from the street while Chris set off another firework. Jaden just wasn't having it. After this firework was set off (and after he squirmed out of Aunt Shelby's arms) Jaden ran into the house...for the second time.
Here is a picture of the last firework we set off (the one that made Jaden run into the house again). We tried another sparkler, and Jaden no longer liked it. I think he thought it was going to make noise like the rest of the fireworks. Poor guy.
